ARBEQUINA: This kind derives its name from the town Arbeca in the province of Lerida (Aragon). Since time immemorial, this olive has largely been grown in Catalonia and in the North of Spain. However, in the last few years it has also been planted in other parts of Spain, like in the Balearic Islands, Andalusia and in the region of Extremadura. The Arbequina olive has a very soft, smooth taste, which reminds of almonds, apples and herbs. The tree can be described as small and dumose.
